Federal Premium® Edge TLR Bullets - 30 Caliber .308 Diameter 175 Grain

Edge TLR

The first true all-range hunting projectile is now available as a component bullet. Unlike other bullets that can fail to perform on impact at lower velocities, Federal Premium® Edge TLR™ uses the exclusive Slipstream™ polymer tip to initiate expansion at long range. At close range, the bullet’s copper shank and bonded lead core retain weight for consistent, lethal penetration. Its long, sleek profile offers an extremely high ballistic coefficient and AccuChannel™ groove technology improves accuracy and minimizes drag. Available in bullet diameters and weights to load the most popular cartridges in long-range hunting.

Features & Benefits:

  • Match-grade long-range accuracy in a bonded hunting bullet
  • High-performance polymer tip material provides the industry's highest heat resistance for the most consistent ballistics
  • Extremely high ballistic coefficient
  • Exclusive Slipstream tip helps flatten trajectories and initiate low-velocity expansion
  • Less wind drift and drop
  • AccuChannel groove technology minimizes drag
  • Copper shank and bonded lead core retain weight for deep penetration at any range
  • Reliable expansion at 1,350 fps

This item is a 12 bullet pack.

    Not Good

Posted by Cody on Aug 16th 2020

I tried these bullets out in a couple ladder tests without sorting. I assumed that the way these were being advertised, they would have some sort of consistency. After shooting a couple tests, I weighed and measured them. I found the reason for horrible groups. Out of 20 bullets weighed, there was a full grain+ difference. So I measured them using a comparator. Out of the three bullets I found that actually weighed 175grns, there was .011" difference. I compared this to other makes in my stock and they weren't even close. I'd have thought with today's technology and the way these were advertised, they'd have been WAY closer in their tolerances.
